Call For Applications: Safe Online Campus Ambassadors Program 2024-2025

The Safe Online with Meta Campus Ambassador Program offers students of tertiary institutions across Nigeria the opportunity to champion digital literacy and online safety on their campuses. Safe Online with Meta is a digital literacy and online safety campaign targeted at equipping Nigerian citizens with the skills required to use the internet responsibly and safely.

The campaign is a collaborative project between Co-Creation Hub and Meta designed to advocate for the safe and responsible use of digital platforms. In 4 years, the program has effectively trained over 95,193 participants, including learners, teachers, school leaders, parents, youths, and stakeholders from various organizations. The Safe Online with Meta Campus Ambassador program is designed to be a learning experience and a highly rewarding pursuit for selected students while providing them with opportunities to develop leadership competencies and showcase their unique abilities.

Responsibilities:

• Complete the one-month training program within the dedicated timeline
• Record a minimum of 75% in the training assessment
• Establish and lead an Online Safety Club on your Campus
• Mobilize and facilitate digital literacy and online safety training to the student community on your campus.
• Be an active member on the virtual platform for the duration of the program
• Plan and execute an Online Safety Pop-up with guidance from the programs team.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Open to young Nigerian students.
• Applicants should be current undergraduates in the following institutions:
  • Lagos State University
  • Rivers State University
  • University of Benin
  • Tai Solarin University of Education
  • Yaba College of Technology
  • The Polytechnic Ibadan
  • University of PortHarcourt
