The LONG Empowerment Foundation Scholarship is committed to promoting equal access to quality education by providing financial support to deserving students, ensuring that economic challenges do not stand in the way of achieving their academic aspirations and future goals.
LONG Empowerment Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship Benefits
Selected beneficiaries will receive financial support of up to ₦350,000 per academic session to assist with their educational expenses. The scholarship is renewable annually, subject to the recipient’s continued academic excellence and demonstrated financial need.
Eligibility Requirements for the LONG Empowerment Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship
To be considered for the LONG Empowerment Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be between 16 and 26 years of age at the time of application.
- Have gained admission into a recognized and accredited university in Nigeria.
- For continuing students, possess a minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 5.0 scale (Second Class Upper Division) or its equivalent.
- For newly admitted students, provide proof of admission, including a signed admission and acceptance letter, WAEC/NECO results with a minimum of five credit passes, and a JAMB result showing a score of at least 200.
- Come from a low-income household with an annual family income of less than ₦3 million and be able to provide evidence of financial need through documents such as parents’ bank statements, a recommendation from the school’s bursary department, a recognized scholarship organization, or a member of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees.
- Demonstrate strong leadership qualities, a commitment to community service, and active involvement in initiatives that positively impact society.
Meeting these requirements will strengthen an applicant’s eligibility for consideration, although final selection may be based on a comprehensive assessment of academic merit, financial need, leadership potential, and community engagement.
