These Terms and Conditions ("Terms and Conditions") constitute an Agreement between Coverpage Partnership Solutions Ltd (“Coverpage” "us", "we" or "our") and You ("User", "you" or "your"). This Agreement sets forth the general terms and conditions of your use of the Site and any of its products or services (collectively, "Services"), and all of its divisions, subsidiaries, and affiliate-operated Internet sites that reference these Terms and Conditions.
Kindly review the Terms and Conditions listed below diligently prior to using this website as your use of the website indicates your agreement to be wholly bound by its Terms and Conditions.
If you are unsure of the meaning of any part of these Terms and Conditions or have any questions regarding the Terms and Conditions, do not hesitate to contact us for clarification. These Terms and Conditions fully govern the use of this Site.
1.1. The ‘‘Agreement’’ refers, collectively, to all the terms, conditions, notices contained or referenced in this document (the ‘Terms and Conditions of Use’) and all other operating rules, policies (including the Coverpage Privacy) Statement available at www.prespay.ng and procedures that we may publish from time to time on the Website). Site policies are available at www.presspay.ng.
1.2. The ‘‘Service’’ refers to the applications, software, products, and services provided by Coverpage.
1.3. The ‘‘Website’’ refers to Coverpage’s website located at www.presspay.ng, and all content, services and products provided by Coverpage at or through the Website. It also refers to Coverpage owned subdomains and product websites. Occasionally, websites owned by Coverpage may provide different or additional terms of service. If those additional terms conflict with this Agreement, the more specific terms apply to the relevant page or service.
1.4. The ‘‘Application’’ or the ‘‘App’’ refers to Coverpage’s mobile application downloaded from Google Play store or from the IOS App Store.
1.5. The “Site” refers collectively to the Coverpage Website and Mobile Application (the PressPayNg App).
1.6. ‘‘Institution’’ refers to a Nigerian University, Polytechnic, Monotechnic, College of Education or any other institution considered eligible by Coverpage.
1.7. “EduSAVINGS” refers to money saved by students of Tertiary Institutions on the Coverpage Site for the purpose of payment of Tuition fees.
1.8. ‘‘EduSAVINGS Account’’ refers to a Coverpage account strictly for the purpose of saving tuition fees.
1.9. “EduLOANS” refers to loans granted to students of Tertiary Institutions for the purpose of payment of tuition fees.
1.10. ‘‘EduLOANS Account’’ refers to a Coverpage account created for access to EduLoans/co-funding purposes.
1.11. ‘‘Sponsors’’ refers to parents or guardians of students.
1.12. ‘‘Donors’’ refers to third parties including individuals or organizations who assist students in the payment of their fees, through making donations to Coverpage.
1.13. ‘‘Agents’’ refer to people duly appointed by Coverpage to act on their behalf in certain situations.
1.14. ‘’Academic Role Model’’ refers to a lecturer in any reputable institution who has played a role in the student’s educational growth and development, and can attest to the reputable character of a student
1.15. ‘‘Account Suspension’’ refers to a temporary ban placed on accounts pending certain verification or clarification and can only be placed on accounts suspected of being involved in issues of fraud.
2.1. To enroll in services provided by Coverpage Partnership Solutions, you must have subscribed to the PressPayNg App.
2.2. In order to use the PressPayNg App, you must obtain and maintain, at your expense, compatible hardware and software including but not limited to Internet service.
2.3. Not all the Online services or the functionality on the Online website at www.presspay.ng are available when you use a Mobile Device, and Mobile App and functionality available to you may vary based on the Mobile Device you use.
2.4. You represent that you are the owner or authorized user of the Mobile Device you use to receive our Mobile App service, and that you are authorized to approve the applicable charges. You agree that we may send messages through your wireless provider to you and that your wireless provider is acting as your agent when sending and receiving messages.
2.5 We may use the telephone or mobile phone number, email address, or other delivery location we have in our records for you or other such information as you may provide to us to contact you for our services.
2.6. Your wireless provider's standard rates apply to Internet access, including messaging rates for SMS usage. Please contact your wireless provider for information about your Internet access and messaging plans. Your wireless provider may impose Internet access, message, and/or charge limitations that are outside of our control. All such charges are billed by and payable to your wireless provider.
2.7. You understand and agree that our App messages may not be encrypted and may contain personal or confidential information about you, such as your mobile phone number, your wireless providers' name, and the date, time, and content of any mobile banking messages including account activity and status of your accounts and other information that you or we may provide. We may use this information to contact you and to provide the services you request from us, and to otherwise operate, develop and improve the PressPayNg App. We will not be responsible or liable for losses or damages arising from any disclosure of your account information to third parties, non-delivery, delayed delivery, misdirected delivery or mishandling of, or inaccurate content in, the messages sent through the App.
2.8. We will not be liable for any delays or failures in your ability to access our service or in your receipt of any email, or text messages, as access and messaging are subject to effective transmission from your network provider and processing by your Mobile Device, as well as delays and interruptions in the Internet.
2.9. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold us harmless from and against any and all claims, losses, liability, cost, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of our services and your provision of a telephone or mobile phone number, email address, or other delivery location that is not your own or your violation of applicable federal, state or local law, regulation or ordinance. Your obligation under this paragraph shall survive termination of these terms and conditions.
2.10. Our services, as well as the content and materials you may receive or access through your use of our service, are proprietary to us and our licensors and are for your personal, non-commercial use only. You will not damage, impair, interfere with, or disrupt the PressPayNg App or its functionality.
2.11. We reserve the right to alter charges and/or these terms and conditions from time to time, and we reserve the right to discontinue any of our services at any time without notice. We may suspend or terminate the service to you if we believe you are in breach of our terms and conditions of use.
3.1. Every student in an accredited Nigerian tertiary Institution is eligible for EduSAVINGS.
3.2. Every student is eligible to save the total cost of their tuition for the entire duration of their tertiary education.
3.3. A student who is not a current student of any accredited tertiary institution is not eligible for EduSAVINGS.
3.4. Students who have been expelled are not eligible for EduSAVINGS unless they enroll in a new accredited institution.
3.5. Suspended students can maintain an EduSAVINGS account.
To be eligible and maintain eligibility for the Coverpage co-funding, a student must;
4.1. Be a current student admitted full-time into any of the accredited Nigerian Institutions.
4.2. Final-year students are not eligible for EduLOANS.
4.3. First-year students are only eligible if they have paid their acceptance fee.
4.4. Students who have been expelled or are currently suspended are not eligible for EduLOAN or other forms of funding (whether scholarships, donations or sponsorship) from Coverpage, from the time they seize to be a student of a Tertiary Institution and/or for the period of their suspension.
4.5. Students with pending disciplinary hearing that is linked to fraud, mismanagement of funds, and/or insubordination are not eligible.
5.1. This agreement shall commence on the day of initial sign-up on the Site and shall be in effect as long as the student is signed up on the Site.
5.2. Each co-funding cycle lasts for 4 months, which entails;
5.2.1. A savings plan of 40% of tuition by the student.
5.2.2. PressPayNg adds 60% as EduLOANS and pays to the institution directly.
5.2.3. A 4-month loan repayment plan with charges
5.3. Each EduLOAN cycle is valid for one academic year and once the loan and all accrued charges are repaid by the student, they shall be eligible to register for the next academic session and/or to commence a new cycle of EduLOAN...eligible to access EduLOAN or the next academic session.
5.4. EduLOANS can be applied for every academic session.
6.1. The parties acknowledge that as a result of this Agreement, each Party may have access to and receive from the other party non-public personally identifiable (NPI) financial and/or health information as defined in Nigerian law regarding consumers, customers, former customers, and/or their beneficiaries. The Parties agree to maintain the confidentiality of such NPI and shall not use, disclose, or make accessible such NPI to anyone other than authorized employees and agents of the Party as necessary to carry out the Party’s obligations under this Agreement.
6.2. Coverpage further agrees to establish and maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the security, confidentiality, and integrity of the NPI.
6.3. At the request of the Party that owns the NPI, or in the absence of such request, upon termination of this Agreement, Coverpage shall promptly dispose of the NPI in a standard manner, unless Coverpage is required to maintain the NPI for a period of time by law.
7.1. All information to be provided by the students for the purpose of Coverpage co-funding will not contain any untrue statement of a material fact or omit to state a material fact required to be stated herein or necessary to make the statements therein.
7.2. Students shall take due care to ensure that there are no omissions from any such information being materially incomplete, incorrect, or misleading as of the date thereof.
7.3. Student must update Coverpage from time to time of any material change on any of the information provided upon signing up by updating their account.
8.1. All information submitted by students are subject to verification by Coverpage.
8.2. Verification is done every session and must be completed before a student is able to use EduSAVINGS account to solicit public donations or EduLOAN account to access co-funding on the Site.
8.3. Verification attracts a service charge to be paid per session.
8.4. Where it is discovered that the information provided is false or was materially altered to access funds, the student’s account with Coverpage will be suspended for further investigation with penalties where necessary.
9.1. Upon completion of payment, students can generate receipts relating to all transactions that have been carried out by them or on their behalf by Coverpage on their dashboard.
9.2. As long as a student maintains an account with Coverpage, they can always download a copy of their payment receipt directly from their dashboard.
9.3. Where further clarity or reconciliation is needed for documentation, the Coverpage Team will offer relevant administrative support to the student.
10.1. Accredited Agents of Coverpage are expected to provide support services to the students by interacting with the management of institutions to confirm and verify the information provided by students of the institutions who have onboarded the Site.
10.2. Students must upload the required information on their accounts for verification and authentication.
10.3. Where a student cannot provide the required documents and meet the conditions for accessing EduLOANS, such an account will remain unverified and hinder further processing of EduLOANS from Coverpage.
11.1. Funds deposited by third parties in favour of a student into Coverpage are non-refundable and can only be used to pay tuition fees in an accredited tertiary Institution.
11.2. In the event that a student becomes critically ill and requires medical care but cannot afford it, they can access the funds they have saved with Coverpage for this purpose.
11.3. In the event of 10.2 happening, the student is only entitled to the funds saved in person by such students into their accounts on the Site.
11.4 Emergency withdrawal will not include public donations towards the payment of tuition for a student.
11.4. In the event of 10.2 happening the student is mandated to provide all medical reports validating such medical condition(s) that have necessitated the emergency withdrawal.
11.5. Emergency withdrawal is subject to approval by Coverpage.
11.6. Emergency withdrawal is only allowed once in a calendar year on both the EduSAVINGS and EduLOANS accounts.
12.1. In the event a student changes Institution, he/she must:
12.1.1 Notify Coverpage by updating their information on the App as soon as the change occurs.
12.1.2 Update account to reflect the new school fees and Institution to enable Coverpage to verify and validate profile update
12.1.3 Provide all documents required for verification and Coverpage will not be held liable for any delay in processing payments due to the student’s failure to provide necessary documents on time.
12.2 Coverpage will not be liable for paying the fees to the wrong institution or for any delays in making payment due to wrong information provided by the student.
13.1. All EduSAVINGS and EduLOANS account holders are subject to a data-driven credit rating that informs the creditworthiness of an account holder.
13.2. Default in loan repayment plans will automatically inform poor credit rating and creditworthiness, making a student not eligible to access EduLOANS subsequently on the Site.
13.3. Coverpage has the right to share students’ credit ratings with a third party.
14.1. EduSAVINGS and EDULOANS account holders cannot make cash withdrawals from their savings or loans.
14.2 Students are not entitled to cashback for any money that has been paid into their accounts through public donations.
14.3 The fund is strictly disbursed as tuition payment directly to an accredited tertiary institution in Nigeria.
15.1. All Coverpage account holders are prohibited from funding their accounts with borrowed money.
15.2. In the event that the above happens, Coverpage will not refund any money funded into accounts on this ground.
15.3. Coverpage will not be held liable for any damages arising from debt used to fund student accounts.
16.1. All accounts are subject to annual review for control and compliance purposes.
16.2. Any account discovered to be in breach of our control and compliance procedures will be immediately suspended for investigation and necessary penalties.
17.1. You may opt out of the PressPayNg App and close your account at any point as long as you do not have any outstanding debts payable to Coverpage.
17.2. To opt out of the service and close your account, click here.
17.3. You will not be able to opt out of the service if you have any unpaid outstanding loan.
18.1 Coverpage has the right to:
18.1.1 Close an account with no prior notice to the account holder for breach of terms, conditions, and policy.
18.1.2. Suspend an account if the account holder provided inaccurate information that may mislead Coverpage or be interpreted as information given to defraud Coverpage.15.1. All Coverpage account holders are prohibited from funding their account with borrowed money.
19.1. Students are required to abide by the repayment plan generated by the system for them upon accessing EduLOANS as co-funding.
19.2 Students are required to pay back their loan sum on the due date and within the repayment period.
19.3. Where a student is unable to repay a loan at the system-generated date, such a student will enjoy a repayment extension within five (5) working days with no additional charges or hidden charges when repayment is made within the window opportunity of five (5) working days.
19.4. Where a student defaults twice on system scheduled repayment date, there will be a system-defined accrued charges on loan default which will add up to the total sum repayable.
19.5. Where a student defaults in repayment of a loan and the default continues into the next academic year/session, the student acknowledges and accepts that the school can prevent him/her from registering for the next academic year/session and the restriction shall only be lifted after the student completely repays the loan and charges for the last session.
19.6. Where the loan collected was for the student’s final year/session and the student defaults in repayment, the student’s certificate shall be withheld by the school and shall only be released when the loan and charges accrued are completely repaid to Coverpage by the student.
19.7. When a defaulting student remedies such default by repaying the loan and charges accrued, Coverpage shall notify the school of such remedy and all restrictions placed on the student occasioned by the default shall be lifted by the school.
20.1. Coverpage shall offer EduLOANS to verified and qualified students on the Site as a co-founding where a student saves 40% on the Site and accesses the other 60% as EduLOANS with charges for payment of tuition.
20.2. Coverpage shall have the liberty to decline or refuse to give EduLOANS to a student even where such student has not met all the criteria. Coverpage is under no obligation whatsoever to offer an explanation for refusing to process the application of students on the Site for EduLOANS.
20.3. To qualify for EduLOANS on the Site, the applicant must be a duly registered student of an accredited Nigerian institution.
20.4. The student must create an EduLOANS account on the PressPayNg App and get verified after providing all required details.
20.5. For the disbursement of EduLOANS, students must commence and complete the system-generated savings plan for their 40% contribution to their tuition.
20.6. When the 40% equity contribution has been fulfilled by the student, the other 60% EduLOANS is aggregated with the student’s contribution and paid as tuition to the institution directly by Coverpage through the Site.
20.7. The student is required to pay back the 60% loan with associated charges within a period of 4 months as generated on the Site.
21.1. Student accepts that their school shall transmit all necessary records required to verify their account and process their loan to Coverpage.
21.2. Student accepts that where necessary and as Coverpage deems fit they may be required to upload certain records and personal data including but not limited to, financial records, bank statements, academic records, identity cards, birth certificates, medical records, and other information as required by Coverpage.
21.3. Coverpage will not be liable for any delay in tuition payment and processing of education loans arising from students not providing all required records when necessary.
21.4. A student’s request for a loan may be refused if they fail to upload all required documents or do not meet the requirement for accessing EduLOANS from Coverpage.
22.1. The student is required to begin repayment of the loan immediately after approval of the loan.
22.2. The loan together with all other charges shall be paid in system-generated installments within four months.
The student represents and warrants to Coverpage as follows:
23.1. That the student has the full power and authority to execute, deliver, and perform this agreement.
23.2. That the student is 18 years and above and where the student is less than 18 years he will provide a legal guardian to execute this agreement.
23.3. That the student is of sound mind.
23.4. This agreement constitutes a legal, valid, and binding obligation of the borrower enforceable against the student in accordance with its terms.
23.5. The execution, delivery, and performance of this Agreement does not and will not violate or conflict with any applicable law, regulation, order, or any other requirement by any government or other organization.
Unless Coverpage consents in writing, the student covenants and agrees as follows:
24.1. The student shall maintain its legal existence and remain in good standing under the relevant laws and regulations.
24.2. Student shall abide by all laws of their institution and avoid taking any actions that will result in their expulsion from the institution.
24.3. Student shall not create, incur, or assume otherwise become directly or indirectly liable for any other indebtedness.
24.4. The student shall maintain their student status throughout the duration of their loan and until the loan sum and charges are fully paid back.
25.1. The following shall each constitute an ‘‘Event of Default’’ under this Agreement if not cured within five (5) days after receiving written notice of such failure or breach:
25.1.1. The student not paying on the system-generated date on the PressPayNg App.
25.1.2. The student wilfully or negligently refusing to pay after being notified on the App.
25.1.3. The student changing institution without informing Coverpage.
25.1.4. The student conniving with an agent to conceal their indebtedness without repayment to Coverpage.
25.2. Where a student does any act that constitutes a breach of this agreement, Coverpage shall take the necessary legally acceptable actions to ensure that said breach is remedied.
26.1. Coverpage sources its funds for Education loans from commercial banks, microfinance banks, individuals, or corporate organizations and this comes with lending rates.
26.2. Coverpage has the sole right to set monthly lending rates and charges on loan defaults on the Site
26.3. The lending rate is transferred to the loanee with accrued default charges where applicable and aggregated with the 60% loan repayment for the disbursed tuition on behalf of the student.
26.4. The student repays the loan with lending rates and default charges where applicable through a system-generated repayment calendar on the Site.
27.1. Every student is obligated to provide an accurate record of their indebtedness to every legal entity.
27.2. Where a student is indebted to any other lending platform, institution, and/or organization they must indicate so in their sign-up form as it will form the basis for education loan processing on the Site.
28.1. A student who has been expelled from an institution after paying their tuition fees through Coverpage co-funding is still obligated to pay back the loan sum and accrued lending and charges as when due.
28.2. Where a student has been expelled but proceeded to another institution without repaying the loan, Coverpage shall inform the new institution of the student’s indebtedness and take necessary action for loan recovery.
28.3. Where the student fails to repay his/her education loan 3 working days after notice of repayment, Coverpage is at liberty to commence loan recovery proceedings including legal actions against the student.
28.4. Where 27.3 above happens, Coverpage is entitled to reimbursement of their legal fees and all accrued charges on the loan sum.
29.1. Where a student does not need a loan for the payment of tuition, an education savings account can be opened on PressPayNg that enables a student to save towards tuition.
29.2. Account holders hereby agree to the condition that money deposited into EduSAVINGS account shall only be used for payment of tuition to the school registered on the profile of a student on PressPayNg.
29.3. The maximum amount a student can save in this account is strictly limited to approximately the tuition sum total of his/her entire duration of study or academic years.
29.4. Students are prohibited from depositing fund in excess of clause 28.3
29.5. Students are prohibited from using their accounts to do anything that might constitute fraud, money laundering or any other illegal activity.
29.6. Services charges are associated to the operation of this account.
30.1. Students with EduLOANS accounts are mandated to provide one academic role model from their institution who can attest to the student's character.
30.2. Where a student cannot provide an academic role model, he/she shall not be eligible for EduLOANS
30.3. An academic role model must be a lecturer or a student at a higher level in a reputable and accredited tertiary institution in Nigeria.
30.4. The Academic role model shall only be required to attest to the character of the student and shall not be held liable for any default on the part of the student.
31.1. EduSAVINGS Account for savings towards tuition.
31.2. EduLOANS Account for co-funding (40% savings from student and 60% loan from Coverpage) towards tuition.
31.3. EduINVEST Account for individual and corporate lenders to Coverpage.
32.1. Account holders on PressPayNg are encouraged to refer others to the App and enjoy referral benefits.
32.2. Referral benefits, bonuses or incentives shall be determined by Coverpage with relevant terms and conditions. Referral rewards and conditions that may apply are completely at the discretion of Coverpage.
33.1. All transactions initiated through the PressPayNg App are subject to service charges.
33.2. Transaction and service charges shall be system generated and deducted from the initiating account during payment of tuition to the institution.
33.3. Transaction and service charges are non-refundable.
34.1 Coverpage can, at any time, set Transaction limits and daily limits that restrict your ability to withdraw or pay out of an Account through the Site. Coverpage reserves the discretion to review limit from time to time subject to reasonable notification.
35.1. Coverpage reserves the right to modify this Agreement at any time without prior notice to users of the Site.
35.2. New updates, features, functions, and versions of the Site are updated without prior notice or permission from users.
35.3. The updated date shall be revised at the bottom of this page.
35.4. Coverpage updated terms and conditions can be viewed from the website.
35.5. Coverpage shall not be liable for consequences arising from negligence, ignorance and the failure of users to familiarise themselves with the terms and conditions of use of the Site.
35.6. Continued use of the Site after any update or change to the terms and conditions of use shall constitute your consent to the changes.
36.1 All issues, questions, and disputes concerning the validity, interpretation, enforcement, performance, and termination of this Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Nigerian law.
37.1. Coverpage accepts no liability and shall not indemnify for any consequence, whether direct or indirect, that may arise from the sources of fund of account holders on the Site that may warrant litigations or regulatory investigations and penalties.
37.2. Account holders on the Site shall indemnify and hold harmless Coverpage, its Representatives with respect to all actions, claims, charges, demands Losses and proceedings, including reasonable legal fees arising from or incurred by reason of the actions and/or omissions of the student in relation to the fund, the non-fulfillment of obligations of the student under this co-funding Agreement or its obligations to Third Parties.
38.1 Account holders shall act at all times ethically, legally, and honestly and shall carry out their respective activities on the Site in law-abiding manners.
38.2 Coverpage has a zero-tolerance to bribery and corruption in its operations.
38.3 Account holders acknowledge and will commit to Coverpage’s obligations, pursuant to its partner, donor, investor, and local legislation, regulations, and guidelines, which concern anti-terrorism ("Anti-terrorism Legislation"), and include prohibitions on the use or disbursement of financial assets to support or facilitate terrorism, terrorist activity, terrorist groups or money laundering.
38.4 The funds utilized under these terms and conditions and under all supplementary agreements, shall be used in compliance with the Anti-Terrorism and Anti-Money Laundry Legislation.
39.1. In the event a dispute arises between an account holder and Coverpage, the account holder will initiate a dispute resolution process by writing an official letter To Coverpage within 14 days of the dispute arising.
39.2. The Letter can be delivered to the official address of Coverpage as stated above or through electronic messaging, at the Email address provided on the Site.
39.3. The letter which shall be addressed as ‘’Notice of Dispute’’ shall clearly specify the dispute.
39.4. Coverpage will attempt to resolve the dispute through friendly consultation. If the dispute is not resolved within a reasonable period, then any or all outstanding issues may be submitted to mediation in accordance with any statutory rules of mediation. If mediation is not successful in resolving the entire dispute or is unavailable, any outstanding issues will be submitted to final and binding arbitration in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The Arbitral Award will be final, and judgment may be entered upon it by any court having jurisdiction within Nigeria.
40.1. The Website, Application and all of their contents, features and functionality (including but not limited to all information, software, text, displays, images, video and audio, and the design, selection and arrangement thereof), are owned by Coverpage, its licensors or other providers of such material and are protected by Nigerian and international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws.
40.2. These Terms of Use grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Website and Application. You may access the material on the Websites and Application only for your own personal, non-commercial use. You must not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, republish, download, store or transmit any of the material on our Website and Application, except as incidental to normal web browsing or Application usage, such as the making of temporary copies in RAM or the cache of your internet browse, and for features of the Website that enable sharing via e-mail, social media, linking, and other platforms expressly enabled by the Website.
40.3. With respect to our mobile Applications, you may download a single copy to each of your mobile devices solely for your own personal, non-commercial use, provided you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use.
40.4. You must not:
40.4.1. Modify copies of any materials from the Site.
40.4.2. Use any illustrations, photographs, video or audio sequences or any graphics separately from the accompanying text.
40.4.3. Delete or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary rights notices from copies of materials from the Site.
40.4.4. Reverse-engineer or otherwise attempt to steal the software code of the Site.
40.5. Any use of the Websites not expressly permitted by these Terms of Use shall constitute a breach of these Terms of Use and may violate copyright, trademark, and other laws.
41.1. Coverpage commits to protect against unauthorized or unlawful processing of any data received through the Site and will ensure that adequate data security measures are established.
41.2. Coverpage will not make use of any data received for any other purposes outside the intention, charges, goals, and objectives established in this document.
42.1.
