Academic technologists begin 14days Warning Strike.

Academic technologists in Federal Universities have begun a two-week warning strike effective from yesterday, March 21 2022. The National Association of Academic Technologists (NAAT) issued this information yesterday.

The association protested against alleged failure of the Federal Government to implement the 2009 agreement.

NAAT further directed its members to shut down all laboratories, workshops, studios and farms while the industrial action lasts. The association was said to have taken this decision after a virtual National Executive Council (NEC) meeting where 97.8 per cent of its members voted in favour of a warning strike..

The president of NAAT, Ibeji Nwokoma, in a statement yesterday in Abuja, directed members to begin the two-week warning strike that ends on April 5 if the government responds to their demands.
