Final Year Student Passes on 14days After Arriving Nigeria from Ukraine.
Mr. Uzaifa Halilu Modachi, a Nigerian final year medical student Studying at the Zaporizhzhia State Medical University, Ukraine, has passed on 14 days after arriving Nigeria from Ukraine.
The late Mr. Modachi was said to have been preparing for his final-year medical examination just before the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. He was also one among the 40 students recently evacuated from Ukraine.
The family of the deceased said Modachi has not been home for vacation for the past Three years.
The father of the deceased, a serving member of the Sokoto State House of Assembly, Hon. Habibu Modachi, made this know in an official statement. In his words:
“Alhamdu Lilah, God gives and take away life, and that’s how he wanted it to happen, there is no doubt about it.
Had it been he died in Ukraine so many things would be said about him, that he was either killed by the Russian bombs or had an accident or even accidentally shot and killed by the Ukrainian Army.
We are grateful to God for having him die before us, we also thank the Nigerian government particularly Sokoto state for taking a hasty decision to evacuate them before the full escalation of the War in Ukraine.”
Mr. Modachi has since been buried in Sokoto.
