Brig. Gen. Mohammed Buba Marwa (Rtd) Chairman and Chief Executive of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has urged tertiary institutions across the nation to undergo drug integrity test, and the test should be made an institutional policy and a prerequisite for both new and returning students.

Gen. Marwa made this call at the University of Abuja during the launching of “drug free university campaign,” he further called for a partnership between the NDLEA and all Tertiary systems, and for NDLEA agency outposts to be set-up on all campuses for seamless testing and to further strengthen the authorities in combating the menace.

Gen. Marwa also praised the management of the University for collaborating with the agency to organize the launch. In his words “the theme ‘Drug-Free University and Tertiary Institutions,’ is very apt and timely as there is no better time than now to combat the drug challenge in the university community and among students.”

He concluded that this affiliation help to contend drug abuse among Nigerian youths.
